The Rainmakers

BJ - Centre- Seasoned professional touch player who when in form is capable of scoring tries from anywhere. His speed and agility will be a welcome addition to The Rainmakers. Dally M winner of the past hoping to re create the magic that took him to that award 2 years ago. Drinking ability- 10 schooners

Timmy - Vice Captain-Halfback- The little man with a lot of heart. Showed his ability earlier in the year by mastering the indoor soccer game. His passing game has been known to shatter defences, but has a lack of fitness about him. Will be putting his hand up for a breather many times during a match. Has been promoted to vice captain after taking over from Rizzo, and has a lot to prove, and hopefully will lead from the front. Drinking Ability- 4 schooners, 8 bourbons

Hoff - Bench- Well what can be said about the big red. Well not much really!!!, showed a bit of form a few years ago but since that it has been very quiet on the hoff front. If the pre season training is anything to go by the Hoff still needs to concentrate on a lot. Still struggling to recover from not getting any game time against parra marist in high school. Will have to prove a lot to get in the starting line. Has the potential to become a big game player by listening to coach Camo. Must keep his temper under control. Drinking Ability- 20 schooners

Cats - Front Rower- The front row specialist has been warming up for touch all year. Can damage defences with his blistering runs, and is capable of a mean headbutt. The man is a legend among The Rainmakers, and will be hoping his backs will be running off him all year looking for the offload. Only negative is that he is prone for a concussion. Drinking Ability- 30 schooners

Brett Holden- Winger- Last years rookie of the year, Brett could be the hit of the summer. Very similar to his older brother but has a bit more fitness about him. He still needs to concentrate his passing game, and is prone for an error. Will be looking up to the older fellas for a bit of guidance. Drinking Abillity- 5 tinnies

Freney- Tactician/Bench- Freney brings with him a touch of class to the side. His maths ability adds an edge to the side. Always doing the figures and adding up the possibility of a play makes him a valuable player to the side. Has been designated with adding up all of Graham's errors. A welcome addition to The Rainmakers. Drinking Ability- 5 + 2 + 1 schooner, 4 bourbons

The Icon - Centre- The veteran of the touch game has made 246 appearances for Souths, scoring 98 times. A big names signing for The Rainmakers, and hoping to emulate his form of 10 years ago. Brilliant blindside player that is always looking for options. His defence is rock solid. Only question is his fitness and his ability to make the right play at the right time. Drinking Ability- 2 Middies, 1 Slushee

Rizzo- 2 nd Row- Swinkle Toes Rizzo is the original Rainmaker. A former Brownloe medialist with the East Coast Eagles. He is hoping to make an impact in a different code. His foot work is a work of art, but lacks the physical presence that hampens his game immensely. After being a bit disappointed at losing the vice captaincy to Timmy, he will be out to impress and potentially get his old job back. With be working closely with Cats to improve his physical game. Drinking Ability- 10 Woodies

Al - Hooker- The enforcer of the team. Plays a brutal game and will not be out muscled by anyone. Former wallaby and test cricketer that will be a main factor in The Rainmakers title chances. His fitness game is impeccable and his defence cannot be questioned. Just can become a bit of a liability with his temperament, is usually good for a couple of send offs throughout the year.  Drinking Ability- 5 schooners, 10 scotches

Gulbis- Centre- A late signing for The Rainmakers, and is a bit of an unknown quantity. He is the speedster of the team running the 100m in 10 flat, but dies in the arse after that. Coach Camo with be issueing him with a fair amount of fitness training throughout the season. If put into a gap there is no catching him, but faints after that. Drinking Ability- cocktails all night long

David Graham- Lock- A true legend of the game is very well respected among his peers. Is a great organizer on the field and processes the ability to spot a gap from any where. The true father figure of the squad. His is putting on his boots one last time in his testimonial year. Hoping to guide his son Matt into the starting lineup. Drinking Ability- 20 tinnies

Camo - Captain/Coach- Wonderful inspiration for The Rainmakers. A true captain in every way. Shows great leadership and organization and is hoping to lead The Rainmakers to the title. Very proud of his team on and off the field. Drinking Ability- 8 schooners, 6 bourbons.
